i teach faceting and have been cutting as a hobby for 60 yrs. my students use a coarse lap to start off then go directly to a 1200 to refinish facets for polishing–cut fast– then change to a tin lap for polishing running it very slow with very slow drip of water and using 50,000 grit diamond powder. works in all s stones gemmakermz@gmail.com
