Announcing the USFG Single Stone Contest
We are happy to announce our USFG Single Stone Contest for 2025 and we wanted to make you aware of some of the frequently asked questions. Please see below.
Who can enter?
This is a closed competition; cutters must be current members of the USFG. Membership application/fees/renewals may be submitted with the cutter’s entry or online at https://usfacetersguild.org/become-a-member
Where’s the entry form?
Entry form will be published in the March issue of this newsletter and will also be available
to download on the USFG website at the same time.
How many stones may I submit?
Cutters may only submit a single stone in a single class.
Can I go back a level?
Cutters may not enter stones in a class or division below their prior certifications levels.
At which class can a Grand Master compete?
Certified Grand Masters may only compete in the Grand Master class.
When can I submit my stone for this year’s competition?
This year, entries will be accepted beginning March 1, 2025., and will be accepted until August 1, 2025. Stones must be received at the Stone Handler’s location by August 1,2025. Stones received after that date will be returned (if possible) and will not be accepted for the 2025 SSC.
Where are the rules and the designs?
The rules and the designs are available for download on the USFG Website in the Competition Information section. The designs are also published in the December 2024 USFG Newsletter.
