Newbie here, and I have found 2 videos on YouTube which I consider to be excellent.
I am a firm believer that every new precision machine needs to be setup properly and alignments checked, or setup and blueprinted. Do not take it for granted that the factory has setup your machine perfectly. Very few ever do so, and if they do, shipping can throw things off, no matter how well your machine is packaged. I remember going to a truck shipping dock for a box that had arrows pointing “This End Up”, and “Do Not Stack On Top” printed on each side. Well, guess what? The box was upside down, someone was sitting on top while smoking a cigarette and the side of the box was punctured. Moral of this story – trust no one when you have something shipped to you.
