Had a bit of time to spare this afternoon so went into my very old copy of Gemcad ( I never ever bothered with Gemcut Studio as I had all the diagrams I could ever want to cut dating back to the late 60s many obtained with your assistance.) My Mac program is the most up to date version but my Parallels version is now a few years old.
I was able to start up Parallels and from there; go into the Gemcad program and use it to start “cutting” a new design and also access all of the vast number of old designs I have on File; including those you so kindly sent me.
