Cutting too long on one facet. The heat from you hand can affect the center point. Glue moving dop and holder will shift. Just the weight of your hand also.

You should be able to float in a meet point.

Best thing to do is check more often than you probably are doing now.

Also your first facet on a tier has to cut more material than the next. And the last on a tier has the least material to cut. So they will cut in a lot quicker. Mentally I count how long the first is if it’s 6 seconds between checks , then the next facet I will count 4 and check and the last 2 or 3 seconds
