Australian annual competition
Just thought I would let you guys know a fellow country man of yours and member of this group John Lee, convincingly won the open section of our annual competition here in OZ.
The competition consists of four stones, competitors are judged by the total score of all four stones, which John won.
A separate competition of a single concave cut, which John didn’t enter.
Also a single stone competition, which required creating an instruction cutting sheet from a four sided view of a stone with no indexes or angles shown and cut the stone. 80% score for the stone and 20% for the instructions. John won that as well. -

Yes I did enter, have done so for about five years now.
Came third in the four stone comp, second out of three entries in the concave and third in the instruction one.
Where I was politely told if they followed my instructions they would make a complete arse of it. Well I didn’t have a problem at all. -
Respectable finish I would be very proud of.
