    Lightning laps

    I see a lot of people using copper laps bat laps tin laps, is there any reason why I don’t see anyone using exclusively lightning laps? I understand they are cheap and wear quickly if you cut constantly but for a beginner couldn’t I use a d’lite 360, 600, 1200 and then go straight to polish with cox or Linde A? with the lighting laps?
