Why is my girdle spiraling?
Hello from Alaska. I am very new and I am cutting my 5th stone, an oval. when I finished my last girdle cut it did not line up with the first. I had a similar problem on one of the round stones where I chased it around and it never aligned so I just cheated it and moved on. I am assuming it comes from an accumulation of errors? Or since I am using the cheapest machine, the Vevor with GemsOfScience Cut Kit, I am not getting the angles right. Any advice Would be very much appreciated.

It can be a lot of things. Not necessarily because of a cheap machine , I know the guy from Turtle’s Hoard has a few nice addons that will convert a cheap machine.
When I first started I thought it might be the cheater. There are youtube videos where you can dial in your cheater. Ultra Tec V5 Cheater Porpoising
But also when I started , I wasnt as clean as I should be and I had glue on the transfer jig.
