I have been searching for a diagram for ovals for ri 1.6 to 1.8 that will allow to be calibrated for size fitting pre made settings.
I found this newly added cut to the library.
I am asking if anyone has cut this yet and an opinion.
As the material, garnet, sapphire and peridot will be materials being cut.
Any suggestions or other diagrams for this material, rounds or ovals.

Hi Scott,
Have you searched the FacetDiagrams site in ovals alot there to choose from. You can try the 1210 Oval by Robert Strickland is somewhat similar. Is 1.33 very close should not present a problem. You can tangent ratio the original to fit your RI range if needed. This is the design 02.175c OMNI Oval 1.33 I can adjust it for your 1.72-1.80, if your wanting it to be 1.6 you should use it as it is designed 1.54. -
Thanks Greg, I have yet to purchase a program, will someday soon. I run into a lot of stone that says oval or cushion and am moving more towards this pattern. Quartz has taught me well. But I am creeping into the finer gemstones now and looking for those that work well with pre made settings.

Hi Scott,
The ZBO is my design… And yes, I have cut it a number of times. Since it is a barion, I recommend it for light to medium colored material. The odd number in the pavilion makes it performs really well 🙂 It is in fact my standard oval cut in light materials.
But, you will need the 84 index 😉

Well I went to change my gear,,not…I was not about to get the breaker bar out to loosen the allen head on my facetron. I am set up without fear of changing gears as I know how to sight/align my machine but the darn screw is tight, mama told never to force anything.
Anyways I am cutting the 133 oval
