i need to add more info for raytech users. when i said week motor some of the early machines had brass bushings instead of bearings as bearings. the brass wears till the shaft can move out of alignment and it will start failing. another thing, i have a friend club member whom has a raytech and it quit working, he would turn the control up but would only run if he hand spun the lap to get it started. i removed the bottom to check the belt– ok — but then i opened the brush caps and checked the brushes, they were shot/ completely worn out. i have ordered brushes from rick scott so it, machine should be back up and running soon. if anyone is using a raytech and have been for a long time it would be good to check out the motor brushes before it causes problems.
