The designs were presented in the December newsletter for USFG members. They are now up on the website for the general public. Remember, to submit a stone for competition, you must be an active, paid member of the USFG. If you have any questions about when your membership expires, click on “My Account” (upper right of the page), then click on “Subscriptions”, just to the right of “Home”.

A new addition this year is a button called “International Entries” to help handle payments for return shipping overseas.

A reminder that this year entries must be received by the stonehandler by the deadline of August 30, 2017.

    Diane,

    2017 Single Stone Competition

If you follow this link, it lists the stones for 2017 as the same stones as last year. I Googled: “USFG Competition.” Clicked on the heading and this is where it took me! Some unwitting souls might find the wrong designs!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I have no idea why this is happening, but I’ll contact someone who can figure it out.

It takes several months for stones to be anonymized, sent to judges, judged, sent back, collated, results approved by the board, and returned to their owners all over the world. The results will be available as soon as the process can be completed.

I am a true faceter waiting for the results of the stone. I know I like reading the tests and measurements of the test. LAST YEAR I learned alot from the stone judgement and feel it improved me 1000%.

I wish to thank all who are involved in organizing and running the single stone competition. I know you guys do this with countless hours of donated time and the desire of bringing faceting to a higher level. This competition has been a great learning experience for me. Thanks so much!! Rick.

If I’m reading this correct, the results of the 2017 competition will not be given out until March? Or is that when the 2018 competition stones will be unveiled? Ken

I hope that USFG gives out 2017 competition resilts in December :). I know that they have so much work with the stones, but they had also quite long time period to make things happen 🙂

I should have said “The info on the 2018 Single Stone Competition is planned for the March newsletter.”
The 2017 competition results are in the December newsletter, which will be posted later today.
