    Hi,
My name is Barry – I’m Glenn Klein’s son.
I’m trying to help my dad use this forum and have a few questions.
Is there a test forum where he can post messages and see them – just to make sure he understands the concepts and things work ok?
Also is there a way to colorize the background so the Topic and Message windows stand out better? Everything’s white on his monitor and hard to see.

I’m replying to my own message, but where are these “B””i””link” …. functions (above message enter window) described so we know how to use them?

There are many issues with the website function that still fail to function. You can not email the Guild Officers to report any problems or function issues as their email link fails to works.

I’m sorry that I haven’t been available for several days. I won’t have much time for another few days, but I can provide some hints to start with.

Unfortunately, there is no preview provided. What you can do is a test message and submit it to see what it looks like. Then click the button that say’s “Trash”. The message will change color and become invisible to anyone else. Then you can click “Delete” to get rid of it entirely.

The buttons at the top of the form insert html tags. For example, if you want text in bold, select the text and click on the “b” tag. The “i” is for italic,

the “b-quote” turns it into a block quote

the “del button” puts a strikeout line through the selected text, marked with time and date.
“img” lets you insert an image.

“link” inserts a link with a visible text and a URL.

“ul” and “ol” are for ordered list and unordered list, and “li” denotes an item in a list. I’m not clear on how to use these.

“code” is used to mark a section of programming language.

I don’t know whether all users can insert other html, but I’ll find out. That would allow specifying font, size, and color, for example. I’ll find out.

I’ll try to revisit this topic sometime next week, and educate myself.

Could you provide an example? I use the links provided on the “Contact USFG” listing with no problems.

Also, Barry, have you looked into what’s available in the operating system? For Windows 10, look for Control Panel > Ease of Access > Ease of Access Center. Under “Make the computer easier to see”, there is also “Personalize appearance and sound effects” and a link to more information online.

Other versions of Windows have equivalent controls.

    Hi: FACETING ROUGH

This is my fist try with this new-to-me system, to see if I am doing things right.
I No longer can facet (after 44 years) due to my poor eyesight. And so I want to sell my remaining faceting rough to someone as one package. If you are interested, please email me at glennklein20@yahoo.com . I can then email you a list of what my collection of faceting rough is. This is for USA faceters only. I hope to get where I can once again be able to join with other faceters posts.
