Moving is a pain. I learned that it is impossible to do any business for USFG on your smart phone. However, I now have a computer and have joined the world. I heard everybody found the diagrams for the Single Stone Competition, so I guess y’all are moaning as you study them. The crew came up with some challenges, didn’t they? Hey, that’s how we become brilliant.
How would y’all like other competitions? Anybody up for a Pretty Rock Competition, as they say in Franklin, S. Carolina. I’ve been cooking up a such a competition in Texas, in October. The competition is sponsored by the Texas Jewelers Association. Anybody wanna play in this pond?
Our board will be having a meeting soon, and we need help. There are positions available on the board, and I’m looking for some gullible people. We took a hit when we lost Will and Tom. Some new blood will help this guild get back moving again. Cell- 830-370-1416
As I mentioned in the December newsletter, I have returned to a job as a gemologist in a very nice jewelry store. That means I am working Tuesday-Saturday. Please don’t call til after close those days, 5:30pm Pacific time. Posting here works well, if you don’t mind a crowd reading.

I myself have come to rely on all the efforts of past and present members contributions. As a student I do not know where I can contribute as I am full of questions. As a beginner in competition I would like more. I looked at the IFC diagrams and their rules and noticed more of a free for all on material and size but concentrated on the facet skills of the design. After watching Sharing the Rough and faceting for one year now I am hooked and want more. Geology and Gemology are becoming my new niche, LOVE it.
If there is anything I can do please let me know.
