Can anyone recommend a good source to buy YAG for the 2018 stone competition?
Three sources have been mentioned:
Facet Shoppe
Ceative Gems
Rusgems (This is a non-USA source, but they also sell on Ebay and Etsy.)
that may be dependent on the size your looking for. i just finished a 206.95 carat stone in a rich pink LASER YAG and my own 57 facet cut reverse brilliant design. VERY firey, i put it on display at our county fair with extreme ooo’s and aaa’s. i have since sent it to the makers of the laser material here in washington state. i have more pieces, contact me. what size, etc. do you need?? i also have emerald green and light red ruby all laser material scraps. the cut i made is being use by club members on yag and now other materials too. we are doing faceting of montana agate free form shapes that has got the montanan’s and cabber/faceters attention and federation exec. too.

Would anyone like to use this huge stone for facetting?
Rick,
The sources that Al Balmer mentioned are the best ones that I am aware of.
Unfortunately, the 2018 competition ended over a month ago. The 2019 competition should be announced in our December newsletter.

I bought some YAG from Creative Gems. The service was very good.
