Tagged: #Australia
Hi, I’ve built a semi-automated gem faceting machine (with Jim Brown). Here is a link to kickstarter when you can learn more, and back the project or pre-order one if you want.
Not as perfect as a Facetron or Ultratec, but it can make nice stones, and it’s a first step in the direction many of us want to go, fully automated and computer controlled faceting from electronic diagrams.
Keen to hear the group’s thoughts and suggestions!
hello how are you. I’m interested this machine
Hi Thomas,
Glad to hear you are interested! Do you have any questions about the machine?
Frank
There are a few youtube videos of this machine that are of interest to watch
I’m very interested in your faceting machine. I haven’t owned a faceting machine at all so I’m so excited!!
When will it be available?
Hi Kristie,
Glad to hear you like the machine. Please do reach out if you have any questions. The first batch will be delivered by end of December this year. Currently there are 8 early bird rewards not yet spoken for. I expect they will be taken in the next month or so, so please check out the kickstarter page if you want to sign up for one
.
The next batch should be delivered by end of March 2021.

Thank you for letting me know Frank! I’ll go check the link you gave, hopefully I can get one of the first batch 🙂
Hello. I just joined the site. Will you have another offering for spring arrival?
Thanks
Mike
Hi Mike,
Yes, Once I fulfill the kickstarter I will prepare a new batch. I’ll reach out to you then. I should have a proper website set up then to take orders.
Best,
Frank
Hi Frank I am in Australia and am wondering what the power source can take via voltage and ampage e have 240 volts and will you be shipping internationally.
Hi Owen, Great to hear from a fellow aussie. Yes, the power supply unit has a switch that can take either 230 or 110. I can ship to Australia. The shipping is ~$230 USD.
Currently I’m flat out fulfilling the machines for the Kickstarter. I’ll likely bea able to start the next batch in the new year. I’ll reach out to you then to see if you’re still interested.
Cheers,
F
